Sharon Ehninger
December 14, 1955 — January 22, 2019
On January 22, 2019 Sharon Respondek Ehninger was called home. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister. She will be dearly missed by all. Her greatest joy was her children. She enjoyed all the things a good mother does with her children and husband.
Sharon graduated from Canyon High School in 1974. She had taken business courses and went straight to work upon graduating. She never missed a day of work for 25 years and then became a mother. Michael and then Daniel changed her life and she became a very devoted and doting mom. If you asked her about her greatest accomplishment it would be her boys.
Sharon loved the coast and fishing with her family. She went as often as possible. She really enjoyed cooking and trying new thing for her family. We will always remember her smile and all the good times we shared. Whether her joy of cooking, taking care of her animals, fishing at the coat or working in her yard and large vegetable garden, she worked hard on these things. Her vegetable garden was so large she shared with many neighbors.
She loved her sisters and missed them all not being together at Christmas as a family.
Her pride and joy were her boys, Michael and Daniel. She taught them to swim, to fish, and the important life lessons of being a good person. She was very proud of who they became.
She loved her husband and best friend of 45 years, Rick Ehninger. She was very devoted to him. It was love at first sight. They loved to go dancing at the Wagon Wheel in Comal County and they were very good at it.
She was preceded in death by her father, Aaron Respondek. She missed him very much and now she is with him.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Rick, sons Michael and Daniel, sisters Margie Schaeferkoeter and Debbie Pape, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Blanco Barbeque, 13259 Blanco Rd., San Antonio, Texas from 2:00PM - 4:00PM.
