Sean Bradley Peterson, 30, passed away on January 27, 2024 in Minot, ND. He was born on December 28, 1993, at the Air Force Academy Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO to Bradley Peterson and Melissa Davis Chappel. He graduated from East Central High School in 2012 and joined the United States Air Force in October, 2014. Sean entered the service with 2 stripes continued to excel. He made Airman Below the Zone, made SSgt first time testing and made TSgt first time testing. Sean was known for taking such good care of his Airmen. He would often buy them stuff they would need for their uniforms and was just genuinely there for them.
Sean’s hobbies included, collecting new vinyl records, anime, comic books, Funko figurines, Lego collectables, movies, music, hiking, reading books and Texas food. He loved his many pets from his cats, dogs, and his hedge hog and often times would volunteer at local animal shelters. Sean spent time as a kid taking road trips to Minnesota and Colorado. When he was a kid, he would fly by himself to visit his grandparents in Colorado. Sean volunteered with his grandparents at the Norwegian festival in Estes Park, CO. The grandparents' friends just loved him would always comment on how sweet and hard-working he was.
Sean was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dale Peterson. He is survived by his parents, Bradley Peterson and Melissa Davis Chappel with husband George Chappel; sibling, Ethan Chappel; grandparents, Lavonne Peterson and Vera Davis; and cat, Diablo.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00PM – 8:00PM on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with interment, featuring full United States Air Force Honors, to follow at 2:45PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery – Assembly Area.
