Sandra Voos

March 8, 1966 — May 2, 2019

Sandra Lynn Voos was the second of three children born to George Edward and Joyce Carol Conley Voos. She was born on Toul-Rosi&egraveres Air Base in France, March 8, 1966, and grew up in Schertz, Texas where she was an avid athlete. Sandy was a star volleyball, basketball, and softball player. She, like her brothers, loved sports and was a fierce competitor. Sandy also played the trombone and enjoyed music. She graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in 1984 and later received her Bachelor's Degree in special education. Her passion was teaching special education students in Oklahoma where she resided for over 20 years. She loved her work and considered it more of a calling than a job. Sandy also found fulfillment in caring for her family and loved them dearly. Sandy's vivacious spirit and brilliant smile would liven up any room. She never met a stranger, had a heart for people, and treasured her friendships. Being around her pets also brought her tremendous joy. She loved walking the lake with her dogs by her side. Sandy fell in love with nature while living on Lake Hudson in Pryor, Oklahoma and enjoyed photographing God's masterpieces. Spending time outside taking walks and exploring new places were a favorite pastime. She would often take long drives in search of beautiful landscapes to capture on camera and even won awards for some of her photos. The past few years Sandy embraced life and took full advantage of the time she had with her family and close friends. She enjoyed walks with her mom, Drive-In Movies, going out to eat, watching her nephews play baseball, and family gatherings. Sandy was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Aislyn Wilson, Father George, step-son, Adam, and mothers-in-laws Betty Wilson and Jerry Roark Wilson. She is survived by her mother, Joyce, brothers James and David (Michaelle), and niece and nephews Alyse, Jonathan, and Jake, ex-husband, Mark Wilson, ex-father-in-law, Tom Wilson, as well as their extended family, and her dear friend Michael Labay. Sandy loved life and stood strong in the face of adversity. She wanted everyone to remember the good times and to know that she didn't want to leave so soon, but that she was ready. Even though it was difficult and hard to understand, she had the peace of God and knew He was with her. She is resting and rejoicing with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and is no longer in pain. She is grateful to all who stood by her throughout her life. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
