Samuel Wallace Hall Jr. Retired Navy Chief Engineman, Samuel Wallace Hall Jr., died Thursday, July 19, 2012 on his 59th birthday while awaiting a lung transplant. Sam worked at Lackland AFB and loved to ride motorcycles and was an accomplished country western singer and guitar player. Sam is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janelle Knippa Hall, Daughter Amanda and son-in-law Brent Blocker, son Samuel and daughter-in-law Liz Hall and granddaughter Taylor, mother Frances Hall and his sisters and brother-in-laws Jane and Ron Kellem and Donna Jo and Dale Bruce and Norma and John Ritchie. Sam is preceded in death by his father Samuel Hall Sr. and sister Sandra Degener. Family expresses admiration and gratitude to Dr Luis Angel and his transplant team from University Hospital and Dr. John Eric Stupka and Team from Northeast Methodist Hospital. Sam gave the ultimate gift in being an organ donor.
