Ruth Schilling

Ruth Krebel Schilling, loving mother and Nana went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2016 at the age of 94. She was born on June 16, 1922 to Robert and Annie Krebel. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed her family. Ruth was an accomplished artist who loved doing ceramics and painting with watercolors. She won several awards with her ceramics and artwork.

Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis E. Schilling, parents, grandchildren, siblings: sister, Betty Duncan, brothers, Robert and Edward Krebel. She is survived by three children: Joseph L Schilling (Margie) of San Antonio, Victoria Farnsworth of New Braunfels TX and Kenneth Schilling of Kerrville, TX; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren 3 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, brothers and sister-in-law and other relatives and friends.

Many thanks to her caregivers Benjamin and Tabita Ciobanas (Happy Living Care Home) and their extended family for all of their love, support and help in caring for our mother.

She will be missed by so many, but will always remain with us in our hearts.

A visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 15th from 5 to 8 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Mass of the Resurrection will be on November 16th at 10:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, 78209.
