Ruth Mccammon

Ruth C. McCammon born on July 22, 1934, passed away on July 7, 2016 at the age of 81. Ruth worked at Motorola and was a Banquet Manager at the Sheraton Hotel but her top priority was being a homemaker and raising her four children. Ruth enjoyed socializing with friends and family over a game of cards and gatherings at Sunday school. She was passionate about the RACAP (Randolph Area Christian Assistance Program) and volunteered there any chance she could. Ruth is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Benjamin "Benny" McCammon. She is survived by her four loving children, Bob, Connie, Kim and Penny; precious grandchildren, Kye, Alexis and Morgan. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 7:00PM-9:00PM at the Schertz Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Thursdsay, July 14, 2016 at 12:30PM with Pastor Kyle Cox Officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to RACAP at 307 Pfeil St. Schertz, TX 78154.
