Ruth Beal

Ruth Mary Gormer Beal, passed away at the age of 78 in San Antonio, Texas on September 13, 2012. She was born in Ipswitch, Suffolk, England on April 24, 1934, to Frederick John Gormer and Elsie Evelyn Dibb Gormer. Ruth met and married Thomas Stanley Beal while he was stationed at Bentwaters Air Force Base in England. They were married for 59 years. She loved to cook, especially English food. She had many hobbies including knitting beautiful sweaters, landscape painting, painted ceramics, cross stitch, and sewing. Tom and Ruth lived in Marion, Texas for 33 years and recently moved to San Antonio to be near family. Ruth will be missed by all who loved and knew her. She is survived by her three sons David, Robert (Bobby), and Paul; daughter-in-laws Linda and Lori; and grandchildren Trevor and Brooke. A visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, Texas on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 6:30-8:00 pm.
