Russell Dee Maxwell, age 33, of La Vernia, TX passed away on April 5, 2011. He is preceded in death by his father, David Lynn Maxwell. Russell is survived by his wife, Kimberly Shelley Maxwell of La Vernia, TX; mother, Paula Ann Maxwell of Dublin, TX; children, Logan Michael Maxwell and Hayden Tyler Maxwell, both of La Vernia, TX and brother, Darren Maxwell of Wichita Falls, TX. Russell worked as a Detective and Sergeant for the Live Oak Police Department. His interests included wood working and fishing. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Schertz Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Holy Cross Cemetery with Pastor Gary Heatherly officiating.
