Russell Kozusko

Russell Paul Kozusko was born in Périgueux, France in 1955 to George J. Kozusko and Mary A. (Dimock) Kozusko. Russell was called into eternal rest on November 27, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 62. He grew up loving sports and the outdoors in Copperas Cove, Texas.
Russell graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 1972. He then attended Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. He later acquired his Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification and followed his dream to work on aircrafts. He traveled the world working on C5 and C17 aircrafts.
During his time in the Air Force, Russell received the Airforce Training Ribbon, Aircraft & Munition Maintenance Badge, and National Defense Service Medal and received the prominent rank as Staff Sergeant.
In 1989 Russell married the love of his life, Elona (Frost) Kozusko and relocated to San Antonio, Texas. During their 28 years of marriage, Russell enjoyed spending time with his family, exploring military history, photography, and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Elona Kozusko and their son Christopher Kozusko of San Antonio, Texas; 2 sisters, Mary Lynn Tedder (husband Steve Tedder), and Janet Kozusko of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Preceded in death by h er husband, George Kozusko , passed away in 1989, and her parents and a brother, Ted Dimock, also predeceased her.
