Ruben Boozer

Ruben "Franklin" Boozer, age 72, son of the late Hattie Boozer was born July 11, 1944 in SC. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. Franklin grew up in West Columbia, SC. He was an avid bowler and a member of the VFW Post 4676. Franklin joined the Air Force and served 20 Years, including a tour in Vietnam. He received numerous accolades, awards, eventually retiring as a Master Sargent. Following military service, Franklin worked 19 years with the Postal Service before retiring, amassing 39 years of government service. He spent a good portion of his life in Texas, where he met and married Barbara Lewis. Franklin is survived by son, Donald Boozer of San Antonio, TX; Grandchildren, Lawrence Boozer, Jasmine and Justyn Garcia of San Antonio, TX; Sister, Jacqueline (Larry) Carter of West Columbia; and other siblings; Daughter-in-Law, Brenda Boozer of San Antonio, TX; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends all of whom will miss him dearly. A Graveside Service will be held at 9:30am on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.
