Ruben Rene Ayala, born August 6, 1939, in Laredo, TX, to Armando and Aurora Ayala. He passed away on October 6, 2015, in Schertz, TX at the age of 76. Ruben was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Armando Ayala, Jr; and sister: Edna Imelda Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife: Claudette Winstead Ayala; daughters: Elizabeth Bucek & husband, Steve, Sandra Barton, and Ruth Winborne & husband, Albert; siblings: Sylvia Ayala, Rogelio Ayala & wife, Sue, Rolando Ayala and Manerva Ayala-Stahl; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. A Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00PM on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary being recited at 4:00PM. A Funeral Service will occur at a later date at Hunter Funeral Home in Sparta, TN, with interment following at Spring Hill Cemetery in Walling, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org).
