Rose Hinton of McKinney, TX, age 75, who was born September 26, 1942, went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2017. She was born to Arnold Bauer and Ethel "Virginia" Bauer in San Antonio, TX. As she grew older she attended a community college in Austin, TX where she received an associate's degree and where she eventually met her husband, an Air Force serviceman, Carl Hinton and shortly thereafter was married on March 7, 1963 in Floresville, TX. Rose, her husband and children moved several times which allowed them to enjoy several locations. Rose was known to be a fighter and loved by everyone she encountered. She contracted polio when she was just a teenager, but fought to prove to her doctor's wrong about the limitations they told her she'd have to contend with for the rest of her life. Since then she raised a family and continued to conquer anything that got in her way. She known to have a heart of gold, and tend to wear her heart on her sleeve. To many she was their solid rock. Rose is preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Carl Hinton; sister, Sandra Bauer; brother, Ray Bauer, Johnny Bauer. She is survived by her children, Paul Hinton and wife Gena of McKinney, TX, Linda Hinton of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Taylor Hinton, Cole Hinton; brother, Arnold Bauer and wife Peggy and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 9:00AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
