Roscoe Delk passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on June 28, 2024 at his home in Cibolo, Texas surrounded by his loved ones. Roscoe was born September 4, 1929 in Pearson, Georgia, the second of three sons of Eliza Delk (nee Giddens) and George Clifford Delk. He enlisted in the Air Force right out of High School in 1947 from which he retired in 1974. He met his first wife, Nedra Arthurs, in Fort Worth, Texas, while moonlighting as a roller skating instructor. They were married from 1949 to 1969 and had four children, Jo-Ann, Howard, James, and Robert Delk. Roscoe married his second wife, Shirley Ann Godwin in 1973. They were married for nearly 51 years at the time of Shirley’s passing in January. Roscoe, being the kind and generous man he was, cared for Shirley's three daughters, Diana Briones, Debra Deen, & Dena Szymarek, as his own children. After retiring from the Air Force Roscoe started a remodeling business which he operated for 40 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, dancing and his favorite pastime, playing poker. He is survived by his two sons Howard and Robert Delk and nephew W.T. Delk with his wife Bobbie.
