Rosalio Garcia

August 30, 1945 — September 5, 2014

Rosalio C. "Leo" Garcia, of Cibolo, Texas, passed away September 5, 2014, at the age of 69. He was born in Converse, Texas on August 30, 1945 to Francisco & Ernestina Garcia. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Mike, Ramiro & Chris; and sister: Minnie. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Teresa; sons: Sammy & Frank; sisters: Francis, Cathy & Mary; brothers: Lucus, Joe, Jessie & Jimmie; grandchildren: Amanda, Sabrina, Garrett, Gabrielle, Savannah & Garner; great-grandchild: Kynsli; as well as numerous other family and friends. Leo was a career meat cutter and worked at Roeglein for 27 years and HEB for 22 years. He loved cooking for his family and friends. Leo especially loved to bar-be-que, and was famous for his menudo. Most people's memories include him sitting under one of his huge pecan trees shelling pecans. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 5:00PM to 9PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at 10:00AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Selma Cemetery #2.
