Ronald Trotter

November 16, 1938 — February 10, 2022

Ron passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 10, 2022, after being in the hospital, and then on Hospice Care. He was born in Santa Monica, CA to Hiram Roscoe and Hazel Mae (Jones) Trotter. Ron graduated from Ceres High School in Ceres, CA then proudly joined, the US Navy. After his discharge from the Navy, he began his lengthy career in Industrial outside sales both in, CA and after moving to TX in 1985, lastly with Williams Supply Co. in Marion, TX for 13 years where he was employed until his illness. Ron was a loving, tender hearted man very devoted to his immediate and extended family. Ron was a people-person. He loved his job and enjoyed helping customers he also called his friends. He never wanted to retire so was still going strong at 83. Until recent years, Ron was active with the Single Action Shooting group the Texas Wild Bunch, his Handle was known as Texas Kid. He also starred in movies such as Palo Pinto Gold, was the Sheriff in the faith-based movie Bound and was in the comedy movie Nickelodeon with Burt Reynolds. Most importantly, Ron was in Christ, loving God, attending church to fellowship with other Christians, knowing he would be going Home one day. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, F. June Trotter; Brother, Robert (Betty) Trotter; Daughter, Gina Marie (Gennaro) Bonfiglio; Son Anthony Trotter; Grandson Salvatore (Frances) Bonfiglio; Grandsons Gennaro Ronald Bonfiglio, and James Bonfiglio; Granddaughter Julianna Rose Bonfiglio; Twin Great Granddaughters Isabella Nicole and Mary Rose Bonfiglio; plus, numerous nieces, nephews, other beloved family members, and very cherished friends. Pallbearers are David Bendele, David Braune, Tracy V. Smith, Dusty Stewart, Jeremy Stewart, and Robert Stewart. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will commence at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Schertz Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mission Park Burial North near the Dominion with Navy Honors.
