Rodney Earle Gayle passed away on September 26, 2014, at the age of 62. He was born to Lucille and John Lloyd Gayle on December 27, 1951 along with his twin brother Robert, in San Antonio, Texas. He later moved to Cibolo where he enjoyed spending time with his family, grilling, reading, and watching old western movies. Rodney was always the first to arrive at the family gatherings, and would help wherever he could, wanting to make their time as fun as possible. Rodney, his twin brother Robert and great nephew shared the same birthday. They would take turns picking the place where the birthday celebration would be held. Last year was Rodney's year to choose. Rodney had a number of talents including carpentry, wood working, mechanics, and later gained an interest in horse racing with a special friend. Rodney enjoyed spending time with this daughter Corinne and grandson, Nikoli. He was a very important part of his nephews, niece, great nephews, and great niece's lives. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucille Gayle. He is survived by his brother Robert Gayle and wife, Gail; nephews, Danny, Robert and wife, Melanie, Jonathan, and Lauren; niece, Cherie; great-nephews, Nikolas, Andrew, Alek, Jacob, Landon, Connor, Carter, Caleb; and great-niece, Sophia, along with many special friends and family.
