Rodney Wayne Dunsmore Jr., born on May 26, 1990 in San Antonio, Texas, passed away on August 21, 2015. He went to school in Red Oak, TX where he met his closest friends and graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in 2008 in Schertz,TX. He attended UNT in Denton, TX. In his spare time, Rodney focused on music, film, and books. When he wasn't hanging out with friends, he spent much of his time reading non-fiction and playing guitar. His interests included politics, economics, and science, but he was most passionate about music. He was a self-taught musician who played a little piano, but excelled at the guitar. He loved metal band, going to shows, and creating his own music. He had an ever-growing pursuit of knowledge. Being the true individual he was, Rodney lived his life in his own way and by his own rules. He is in our hearts forever, C'est La Vie. Rodney is survived by his father, Rodney Dunsmore; mother, Kayna Chappell; twin sister, Allison Dunsmore; brother, Justin Dunsmore; half-brother, Zachary Heimbuch; grandparents, Tom and Alice Klein, and Butch and Barbara Lassiter; aunt, Kristi Simpson; cousin, Kaden Simpson; uncle, Tommy Klein; aunt and uncle, Beth and David O'Rear; cousins, Emily and Evan O'Rear. He is preceded in death by his opa, Jack Dunsmore. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 2:00PM-5:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 5:00PM. A Reception will take place immediately following service at the Dunsmore residence.
