Robert Wolfe

SMSgt Robert "Bob" Paul Wolfe, USAF (Ret.) was born on November 27, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and departed this life on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at his home in Universal City, Texas, at the age of 71. Bob served his country for 23 years in the United States Air Force, as a computer programmer. During his tours of duty he provided support to those who fought within the Vietnam War, the United States European Command, and the headquarters of the Air Force Military Personnel Center. After his retirement from his military career he continued to serve the state of Texas and the City of Austin as a computer programmer until he decided to fully retire. Bob enjoyed listening to music, karaoke, photography, and his immediate family, which were very important to him. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul E. Wolfe; mother, Margaret Horst; step-father, Charles O. Horst; and mother-in-law, Maria Santana. Survivors include the love of his life, Raquel S. Wolfe, of Schertz, Texas; daughter, Rochelle Wolfe and daughter in law, Yolanda Lopez, of New Braunfels, Texas; son, Robert Paul Wolfe II and daughter in law, Lolita Wolfe, of Schertz, Texas; brother, Charles Horst and sisters, Mary Horst and Cecelia Cosgrove, all of Tarpon Springs, Florida. Bob is also survived by his grandchildren Ken, Ashley, and Kelsey Peyton all of New Braunfels, Texas; step-grandchild, Jacob Baldwin of Erwin, North Carolina; and several extended family members and friends, to include his beloved dog, Maggie. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15, 2014, from 5:00PM-8:00PM, with the Funeral Service and United States Air Force Honors to begin at 6:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, Texas 78154. All services will conclude in the chapel on Friday Evening.
