Robert Olson
October 20, 1938 — November 2, 2012
Robert Bob C. Olson born in Hebbronville, TX on October 20, 1938, went to his heavenly home to join God, his family and multitude of friends, after an unknown illness on November 2, 2012 at the age of 74. He grew up in Laredo, TX and Laural, NE, and traveled to many parts of the world serving proudly in Viet Nam, Saudi Arabia, and all 50 states. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert Guby and Isabel Philbert Olson; sisters Mary and Ida, and brothers Tom and baby Frank. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judith Stewart- Olson; children, Chuck (Becky), Rodger (Karen), Randy, and Jeani; siblings Richard Olson and Alma Bailey; 26 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews. Robert retired with honors from the United States Air Force, Sr. Master Sgt., E-8 and was a Contract Field Team worker (CFT) with 50 years in aircraft maintenance. Bob was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8315 in Schertz, TX. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpapa, brother, uncle and friend caring for lots of people till the very end. Family will be receiving friends on Friday, November 16, 2012 9:00am, at the Schertz Funeral Home chapel, with a memorial service to be conducted at 10:00am. Inichment will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:45am following service. In lieu of flowers family would like donations to be made to the Fisher House, Ft.
