Robert King

CMSgt Robert E. "Bob" King , USAF, Ret., age 69, of Schertz, Texas passed away on October 1, 2016. He was born in Lamar, Colorado on November 8, 1946 to Ralph Emory King and Alice Westerfield King. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Melissa King Bowen. Bob is survived by his loving wife: Nancy King (Schertz, TX); son: Rob King (Schertz, TX); brother: Bernard L. King (Mesa, AZ); sister: Louise Adair (Wynne, AR); 4 grandchildren: John, Jordan, Alyssa and Tyler; and 2 great-grandchildren: Lacey and Lillian. Bob had a 26 year-long career in the USAF, achieving the rank of CMSgt. He was active in the community volunteering with several organizations doing service projects. Bob was also active with the homeowners association in his neighborhood and enjoyed serving in various capacities. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Schertz United Methodist Church (with Visitation beginning at 3:30PM). A Graveside Service will be held at 9:45AM on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Randolph Christian Assistance Program at: RACAP, 307 Pfiel, Schertz, TX 78154, or to a charity of your choice.
