Robert Kaczmarek

Robert J. Kaczmarek, 77, of Cibolo, TX, died on August 11, 2014.Born on March 21, 1937 in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Alice TenEycke and John Kaczmarek. He was predeceased by his brother, John David' Kaczmarek and his sister, Eleanor Fairlee. During his Schenectady years, Bob graduated from Elmer Avenue Elementary, Central Park Junior High and Nott Terrace High School. He served in the United States Army and was in the Army Service Dental at Fort George G. Meade in Fort Meade, MD. He was also stationed in CA and TX. While living in Schenectady, Bob worked for 20 years as a Barber and Student Instructor at Royal Barber and Beauty School on Broadway. He was also a Barber at Ray's Barber Shop on Crane Street; Owner of Kazzy's Pizza on Eastern Avenue and a Partner in A&B Catering. Bob worked as a Barber Instructor at Fishkill Correctional Facility in Fishkill, NY, then at Otisville Correctional Department in Otisville, NY. He later moved to Marietta, GA, where he was Groundskeeper at Life University for several years. His retirement was spent in Texas. He was of the Roman Catholic faith. Bob was the husband of Cynthia Lake Kaczmarek of Scotia, NY; father of Brian Kaczmarek of Cibolo, TX; Kevin Kaczmarek and wife, Patricia Weppler of Duanesburg, NY; Michael Kaczmarek and wife, Lisa of Cibolo, TX; grandfather of Amanda Kaczmarek of New Braunfels, TX and Joshua Kaczmarek of Cibolo, Texas. He was the uncle of Gregory, Paul and Daveia Kaczmarek, all of Schenectady, NY; and Patricia, Jeff and Laurelee Fairlee, all of Alvadore, OR.Bob will be remembered for his devotion to family, his tireless work ethic, his wonderful sense of humor and good-natured personality. A Graveside Service to honor him will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 21, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
