Robert Hosack

April 13, 1951 — June 4, 2009

Robert Gene Bob Hosack of Universal City, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2009. Robert was born April 13, 1951, at Travis AFB Hospital in Fairfield, California. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, LTC (ret) Harold and Helen Hosack, also of Universal City. Robert is survived by his brother, Colonel (ret) Harold Wayne Hosack Jr. and his wife, Cheryl of Universal City; nieces, Rebecca DeSomer and Kristina Hosack, both of Universal City; Melissa Utley and husband, Alan of San Antonio; great-nieces, Danielle DeSomer and Shauna Gonzalez; god-daughter Brooke Irey and many great and dear friends. Robert loved golf, poker nights with good friends, and family gatherings for birthdays and holidays. Robert found great joy this last year in loving and caring for his dogs. Robert had a generous and loving heart and will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service for Robert at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 8th at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memoriam to Homes for the Homeless: P.O. Box #3081 Univeral City, TX. 78148, or a charity of choice would be fitting.
