Robert Horne

March 26, 1942 — October 11, 2010

Robert Horne, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on the 11th of October 2010 at the age of 68 after a long struggle with cancer. Robert Horne was a great American. He was a pillar of strength, character, humor, and spirit. He was born in El Dorado, Arkansas. As a US Army Veteran of 23 years, Robert served two tours in Vietnam and retired from Randolph AFB after 27 years of civil service. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and one sister. Surviving family includes Christa, his loving wife of 45 years; daughter, Pamela and her husband, Jonathan; son, Brandon and his wife, Stefanie; grandchildren, Connor, Alana, Bella, Nolan and Chance; four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Services and Interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, with full military honors, at 9:45 in the morning on October 15, 2010.
