Robert Earl Dudley, Jr. (Robbie/Bobby D.) was born January 27, 1961 to Robert Sr. And Audrey Dudley in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Randolph High School, Universal City, Texas where he played football. Robbie was an avid fisherman and bicyclist. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and spent 20 years in the navy before retiring with honors. He also spent many years as a sports official. He married Jill Bowman and to this union was born one son, Nicholas. After retiring from the navy, Robbie was employed at Sikorsky Aboard NAS in Pensacola, Florida on the T6 Texas Program. Robbie departed this life on Saturday, February 14, 2009 AT 07:20. Robbie is preceded in death by grandfather, Sherman Watson; grandmother, Louise Bolden, aunts, Geraldine Faison, Shirley Watson and Ethel Lois Pauley; uncle, Sherman Watson, Jr. And cousin, Shawan Watson. He leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Jill Dudley; son, Nicholas Dudley; father, Robert Dudley, Sr., mother, Audrey Dudley; sisters, Kimberly (Edward) Swanson and Yvonne (Sheila Lee) Dudley; brothers, Keith and J. Bryant (Michelle) Dudley; grandmother, Audrey Watson; grandfather, Leamon (Liz) Lewis; nieces, Denisha (Jason) Stewart, Geraldine Turner, Kimberly Swanson and Tisha Dudley; nephews, Derrick Turner, Dominic and Corey Dudley; great-niece, Alexandria Stewart; great-nephew, Jason Stewart II; aunts, Jeannette (Sam) Watson Leath, Victoria Watson, Kathy (John) Barber, Annie Dudley Brice, Celestine and Brenda Bolden; uncles, Glenn (Betty) Dudley, Charles (Debbie) Bolden, James Bolden, Rodney Lewis and Darrell Watson; great-aunt, Mabel Carey and Floral Scales; special cousin Mary (Walter) Grays; special friend, Katie Hubbard. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM today, Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the Schertz funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 AM Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Schertz funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, with full military honors.
