Robert Boyte

May 4, 1941 — January 7, 2010

Robert Clayton Boyte went to sing with the angels on January 7, 2010, at the age of 68. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his faithful companions, Gozo and Prissy; father-in-law, Harold Miller and mother-in-law, Ramona Banfield; sister-in-law, Julia Farrar and husband, Tom; brother-in-law, Carl Miller; daughters, Tina Louise Boyte and Annette Boyte-Thomas; step-daughters, Janell and husband, Jack; Joy and husband, Ben; grandchildren, Zoe, Logan, Willie, Gavin and Talon. Bobby was an old hand at the country music business. He had worked with Moe Bandy, Slim Roberts, and Bubba Littrell"to name only a few"and over the past years had fronted groups of his own, including his last band, Hang Tree County. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the SPCA or Humane Society. A celebration of life will be held at the Hangin Tree Saloon, Bracken, Texas, at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.
