Robert Bond

July 21, 1963 — March 17, 2009

Robert Carson Bond, age 45, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. He had lived in Austin, TX, for the past 20 years. He had recently returned to Schertz, TX, to continue treatment at the Cancer Therapy Research Center in San Antonio. Robert is survived by his parents, Carson and Sue Bond, Schertz; sister, Kathy Pierce (Brent), Louisville, KY; brother, David Bond, Cibolo; two nieces, Sarah Pierce, Louisville, and Briana Bond, Cibolo. Robert was a 1982 graduate of Samuel Clemens High School, Schertz. Special thanks to Dr. Monica Mita and staff at CTRC, San Antonio and to the wonderful staff at Odyssey Hospice Home, San Antonio, for their loving care. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM, Sunday, March 22 at First Baptist Church, 600 Aero Ave., Schertz, TX. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Robertss memory, to the First Baptist Church of Schertz Van Fund.
