Richard Henke

Richard Henke, age 76 of Marion, TX, passed away on August 22, 2011. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Selma Henke, his wife, Dorothy R. Henke and his son, Patrick J. Henke. He is survived by his step-mother-in-law, Marie Roemisch of Cleburne, TX; daughters, Karen Smith & husband, Emmitt of College Station, TX and Linda Haines & husband, Matthew of Ft. Worth, TX; brother, Lawrence Henke & wife, Carol of Douglas, Wyoming; step-sister-in-law, Cathy Brown & husband, John of Joshua, TX and grandchildren, Nathan and Richard Henke of Marion, TX and Candice, Alex and Andrew Haines of Ft. Worth, TX. Richard worked as a distributer and a route salesman in the beverage industry. He also worked as a lab courier. His interests included bowling and playing dominoes. Richard was an active civic leader and was a member of the Knights of Columbus-Schertz Council 6358, 4th Degree Knight Assembly 2523. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marion, TX. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
