Richard ‘Dick’ William Hampton, 87 of Garden Ridge went to be with the Lord on January 1st . Born on May 19th, 1937 in San Antonio to parents Katheen Elizabeth Hicks and William Howard Hampton, Dick loved American classic cars and traveling with friends. He graduated from Trinity University, was a long-time member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church and retired from the Federal Reserve Bank. He is survived by cousins Dan Hicks, Don Hicks, Jack Hicks, Linda Hicks, Larry Hicks, Sandra Stone-Johnson, and Howard Swanson-Stone. Richard touched the lives of many people including Godsons Scott Paddock and Michael Nufer as well as Bruce and Wendy Taylor, Jack Taylor, Barbara Green, Judy Paddock, Holly Paddock Smith, Don and Chris Ryden, Ann and Cody Pletz, David Sowell, Don and Chris Tope. 

Richard will be laid to rest at St Lukes Episcopal Church in San Antonio on January 15th at 1:00pm. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Boysville – A Texas Home for Boys and GIrls, Alzheimer's Research, and St. Lukes Episcopal Church.
