Regina Helen (Kelson) Wersebe of Schertz, Texas died in Live Oak, Texas on January 6, 2015. Regina was born in Clinton, Massachusetts to Anthony and Nora Kelson. She lived in many places throughout our country in support of her husband's career in the U.S. Navy, finally settling in Schertz. She worked several years in the diamond salon at Joske's Department Store. Regina became a very active member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church; serving on several committees in support of church activities. She had a genuine love of her church and possessed an unwavering dedication to her many friends, community, and country. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Delbert "Del" A. Wersebe, U.S Navy Retired, and 3 brothers. She is survived by her 2 nieces and 2 nephews. A visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service beginning at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 10:00 AM followed by a luncheon. There will also be a Committal Service held at at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Building Fund, City of Schertz EMS, or a charity of your choice.
