Regina Mcmurtrie

Regina (Reggie) K. McMurtrie of Williamsport, PA died December 19, 2020 in Selma, Texas.  Reggie, a life-long resident of Williamsport was born on August 30, 1922.  During the past twelve years, she resided in San Antonio and Schertz, Texas to be near her daughter.

Reggie was preceded in death by her husband, Howard "Red" McMurtrie and brothers, Anthony (Tony) Houghton of Williamsport and Francis Houghton.  She was the daughter of Grant and Clara Dennin Houghton.  Reggie was a 1940 graduate of Saint Joseph's High School.  She worked 42 years at C.A. Reed Company, retiring as the head of payroll in 1988.  After her retirement Reggie became a regular volunteer at Saint Anthony's Medical Clinic and the Lincoln Senior Center.  She also loved playing bingo and cards. Reggie was a member of Saint Ann Catholic Church.  Her life was enriched in her twilight years by the closeness she shared with her granddaughter, Brenda Nally.

Reggie is survived by her son, Robert Fesemyer of Cogan Station PA and daughter, Marsha Malone of Universal City TX, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Selma TX, with a Rosary being recited immediately before Mass at 10:30AM.  Burial will follow at Selma Cemetery #2.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Village of Incarnate Word Legacy Fund, 4700 Broadway, San Antonio TX 78209 or Universal City Animal Shelter, Attn: Animal Care and Control - Dog Park, 2150 Universal Blvd, Universal City TX 78148.
