Raymond Swan, Jr.

Raymond Eugene Swan, Jr, age 84, passed away on October 30, 2019, in San Antonio, Texas. Raymond was born to Raymond Swan & Ruth Jones on June 30, 1935, in Riffle, Colorado. Raymond was married to Carolyn on November 17, 1957, in Panama City, Florida.

Ray retired a Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force after serving for over 21 years. Ray will be remembered for his kind spirit, great smile, and twinkly eyes.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Ruth and sister: Thelma Schaecher. He is survived by his loving wife: Carolyn; daughter: Pamela Swan Click; sister: Donna Durbin; and granddaughters; Brittany Layell and Erica Click. The family would like to thank Dr. Schnitzler and the nursing staff at Northeast Methodist Hospital.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00PM-9:00PM on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral service will take place at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Schertz Funeral Home. The Graveside Services, with full military honors to follow, at 9:45 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
