Raymond S. Flores, a dedicated family man and patriot, peacefully passed away at the age of 75 on Friday, August 9, 2024. He was born to Donacion and Petra Flores and is now reunited with his late siblings, Manuel, Salvador, Andres, and Linda Flores.
Raymond leaves behind his beloved wife of nearly 20 years, Yolanda Suarez. Their enduring love and companionship served as a shining example to all who knew them. As a father and grandfather, Raymond's devotion knew no bounds, especially towards his son, Raymond A. Flores, and his cherished grandchildren: Maralyn Flores, Madalyn Flores, Kiana Benson, and Clairissa Alejos, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A proud patriot, Raymond honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. His commitment to the Corps' motto "Semper Fidelis" (Always Faithful) resonated throughout his life, even in his civilian service until retirement.
Raymond's unwavering faith as a devout Catholic served as a guiding light. He exemplified loyalty as a husband, pride as a father, and vitality as a grandfather. His life epitomized the values of love, loyalty, and faith, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the honor of knowing him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 11:30 am at Good Shepherd Church in Schertz, TX. The ceremony will be followed by a procession to Fort Sam National Cemetery, where Raymond will be laid to rest.
