Raymond Cole

Col. (Ret.) Raymond Dean Cole born, March 21, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed on March 4, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 78. Throughout his life, Raymond served 30 faithful years in the United States Army JAG Corps. He enjoyed things such as bowling, the San Antonio Spurs basketball team and Sudoku. You could often find him giving generously to non-profit ministries or even saving quarters to give to his grandchildren. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Alice Ethel Cole; former spouse, Renae Cole; and partner Gloria Shoaf. He is survived by his children, Bob Cole and partner, Laurie of Portland, OR, Betsy Cole Davidhizar and husband, Mark of Allegan, MI, Steve Cole and wife, Denise of Cincinatti, OH, and Dan Cole and his wife, Crystal of Wichita, KS; brother, William C. Cole and wife Jana of Philadelphia, PA; and last but not least, his San Antonio family, Dean, Stan and Karen, Mitch and Connie, Melba, Mary and many friends from Thousand Oaks Bowling and the Waterford Community. His friends and family will celebrate Ray's life with a private gathering on Monday, March 7, 2016.
