Raymond Carrington

April 24, 1913 — January 29, 2010

Lt. Col. (USAF Ret.) Raymond Eugene Carrington was born April 24, 1913 in Alexandria, Texas. This good, decent man will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include wife, Bea, children: Steve & wife, Veryl Carrington, Susan Carrington & husband, Rich Prodan, Debbie Hunter; brother, Paul; sisters, Lorene and Mary; nephews and nieces. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren will long remember the great example and advice from this wise one. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel & Margaret Carrington; brother, Jack, wives, Maxine and Billye Jo; daughter, Madelyn Kattermen. His passion was family, country, golfing, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors with family and friends. Raymond was a member of Seguin Elks Lodge, UC Bass Club, and Randolph Mens Golf Association. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel, reception to follow at Fort Sam Houston Golf Club, 1050 Harry Wurzbach Rd. San Antonio, TX. Interment will be held with full military honors at 1:30 pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
