Rayferd Morris was born to Hose and Dona (May) Morris on October 11, 1916 in Winnifield, Alabama. He passed away on May 6, 2008 in Garden Ridge, Texas at the age of 91. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Willis and Harold & sisters, Helen and Billye. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Morris; sons, Ronald Morris & wife, Patti, Nashville, TN, Jerry Morris of Rancho Cordova, CA; daughters, Sharon Willingham & husband, James, Corpus Christi, Victoria McLeod & husband, Kevin, Bulverde; sisters, Margie Carpenter, Una Mae Murnan, Juanita Miller; grandchildren, Andrea, Corrie, Raymond, Jamie, Haley, Shelby: four great-children and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM (with the family receiving friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM) on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Universal City with Pastor David Lindow officiating. Interment will follow, with military honors, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
