Rayburn Doyle Williamson, "Ray", 82, of Cibolo Texas, passed peacefully December 23, 2023 in the home of his son in Austin, TX with family and his wife by his side.
Rayburn was born in Bay, Arkansas, June 8, 1941 to the late Audy & Margie Williamson.
Ray's death was preceded by his parents, younger brother Willburn Williamson and his sister Charlene Moss. He is survived by his sisters Kathy Dean & Debra Long. Ray is also survived by his faithful wife Neva Jane Bourne Williamson, married 62 years, daughter, Leanet Miller and son, Doyle Williamson and their spouses David Miller and Melissa Williamson; grandchildren: Caleb Miller, CaraLea Miller Rhoads, Brady Williamson, and Clay Williamson; and great-granddaughter: Andi Grey Rhoads
A veteran of the Vietnam War serving two tours of duty, Ray completed twenty years in the U.S. Air Force and in his retirement spent forty years restoring Model A Fords. He was a long time and active member of the Alamo A’s Model A Ford Club and the Model A Ford Club of America. He attended The Country Church in Marion, TX where he was baptized. He enjoyed his wife's quilting and often commented on her beautiful singing voice.
A Memorial Service for Ray is set for Friday, March 22nd, 2024 at 10:30am at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery followed by a reception at the Ft. Sam Golf Course at 11am till 1pm.
He will be missed, he was loved by all and is finally at peace in the arms of his Savior.
