Ramon Gonzalez Jr., beloved husband, daddy, and papu, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 51 on April 13, 2011. He was born June 20, 1959 in Suffrin, New York to Maria and Ramon Gonzalez Sr., who preceded him in death. Ramon was the youngest of ten children whose family traveled throughout Puerto Rico and the United States before moving to San Antonio, Texas where he met his sunshine and wife of 18 years, Becky Philips Gonzalez. Ramon had a passion for working hard and did so for 13 years at UPS where he built a second family with his co-workers and customers. He had the privilege to enjoy his time doing everything he loved such as flying planes, riding motorcycles, watching Nascar with his loyal dog, Daisy, but Ramons greatest joy was spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Becky Philips Gonzalez; daughter, Ashley Gonzalez and son-in-law David Lira; son, Edward Hernandez; daughter, Sarah Hernandez; Precious Grandchildren, Brodie Rey and Mackenzie Grace; Ruby Philips Meemaw and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends. Ramon will live on forever in the hearts of those he touched. Services His Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 7:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Butch Ikles officiating.
