Rachel Carrasco

August 19, 1945 — November 10, 2015

Rachel Carrasco, born August 19, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2015 in Schertz, Texas at the age of 70. She is predeceased by her father; Asuncion Acuna. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Arturo Carrasco; mother, Irene Acuna, son, Robert Carrasco; son, Christopher Carrasco; daughter-in-law, Sandra Carrasco; sister, Hermelinda Licona; sister, Rosalinda Munoz; brother-in-law, Baltazar Munoz; grandson, Ryan Carrasco; granddaughter, Avery Carrasco and many loving nieces and nephews. She retired from the Directorate of Logistics at Fort Sam Houston. She loved traveling to Europe, Hawaii, and especially Las Vegas. Her mornings were spent sitting on the patio watching hummingbirds. She was devoted to her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life. The visitation will be Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM with the Rosary being recited at 7:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. A celebration of her life service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 10:00AM at Good Shepard Catholic Church followed by a Graveside service at Selma Cemetery #2, Father Ed Pavlicek officiating.
