Priscilla “Patt” Black born on August 17, 1930 went to join the Lord on July 27, 2019 at the age of 88. Patt was a committed employee for JcPenny’s for 10years while raising her family. She lovingly took care of other family members with no questions asked including her parents, in-laws, brother in-laws and her grandchildren. Patt was known in her family and the neighborhood for her cookies and famous spice cake. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and tatting. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Loretta Murrell; sister, Beatrice Prince; brother-in-law, Albert Prince; brother, Ricky Murrell; daughter, Teresa Ann Rogers; son in law, George Milligan; granddaughter, Rebecca Louise Black. Patt is survived by her daughter, Reggie Milligan; sons, Walter Black, Kenneth Black; grandchildren, Michelle Ross, Bryan Milligan and wife Susan, Yvonne Milligan, Richard Black and wife Melissa, Amy Elisabeth Rogers, Mathew Rogers, Christian Rogers and Lindsey Rogers ; great-grandchildren, Christopher Milligan, Skylar Burns and husband Taylor, Caitlyn Ross, Chelsie Ross, Katrina Clark and husband Dwight ; great-great grandchildren, Scarlett Burns, Corbin Black, Caiden Equere, Brantley Fraser, Halley Burns, Oliver Black, George Clark, Taylor Lane Burns and soon to be William (Pat) Clark; niece Lori Prince Brown; great nephew, Michael Hernandez, DJ Brown; great niece, Deja Hook; great nieces and nephews, Isaac Rodriquez, D’ovonni Hamilton, Kira Clay, Dejalicia Hook, Alicyne Hernandez, Dekaviana Hook and Daveon Hook and many friends. Patt was loved by many and will be missed by all.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 11:30AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
The family would like to give a special thank you to her care team, Aiesha, Anna, Kim, Krista and Chaplain John with Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care and endless support, We couldn’t of done it with-out all of you.
