Philip D. Cook, Jr. born on May 16, 1931 in Electra, TX to the late Philip and Lottie Cook, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on November 17, 2012, at the age of 81. Survivors include his wife, Helen Diefendorf; cousin, Betty Jane Bass; niece, Sue Hodges and her children Colin, Nikki, and Melanie and her husband Gary, and their children. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at the Live Oak Baptist Church, 11560 Toepperwein Rd., from 8:30AM until 9:00AM, with the Funeral Service set to begin at 9:00AM, Pastor Donald R. Valenta officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with United States Navy Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 611 N. Walnut, New Braunfels, Texas, 78130 or the Alzheimers Association, South Texas Chapter, 7400 Louis Pasteur Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78229.
