Paul Gernot Rasmussen Jr. of Cibolo, Texas passed away surrounded by family at age 89 on August 31, 2024. He was born on February 6, 1935 in Washington D.C. to parents, Paul Gernot Rasmussen Sr. and Ethel Doris Rasmussen. 

Paul received his G.E.D from Fairfax High School, Virginia. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1952 where he served as an aircraft mechanic. Paul proudly served his country actively for six years. He also served as a naval reservist for 3 years. In 1960, he left the Navy to go to work for Lamson, Division of Diebold where he worked his way up to be a National Installation Manager. In 1977, Paul retired from Lamson and joined his father in starting a dairy farm in Madison, Virginia. They sold the farm in 1987 and Paul relocated to Dallas, Texas where he began working for Translogic. Paul became a Regional Installation Manager in 1990, after being transferred to Denver, Colorado where he covered all states west of the Mississippi River. Paul and his wife Marlyn moved to Corsicana, Texas in 2000 after becoming a consultant with Translogic where he later retired in 2007. In their retirement years, Paul and Marlyn moved to Cibolo, Texas to be closer to family. 

Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marlyn Joan Virginia Rasmussen and his parents, Paul Gernot and Ethel Rasmussen, as well as his siblings, Carol Rasmussen, Gale McDonald, and Mark Rasmussen. He is survived by his sister, Laura Rasmussen. Three children, Terri Ramirez with husband Mike, Paul Rasmussen with wife Kim, and David Rasmussen and wife, Kellie. Ten grandchildren, Dave Rasmussen with wife Aryn, Phil Ramirez with wife Brooke, Neil Ramirez with wife Tiffany, Bryan Ramirez with Emily Gottlick, Christopher Rasmussen, Kelli Calamaco with husband Jonathan, Rebecca Rasmussen, Rachel Craig with husband Jade, Amy Rasmussen, and Ashleigh Fraser with husband Travis. Eight great grandchildren, Anabelle Ramirez, Ryleigh Ramirez, Parker Rasmussen, Claire Ramirez, Luke Ramirez, Maeve and Edith Rasmussen and Isabella Calamaco.
