Paul Partida
July 27, 1944 — May 29, 2008
Paul Partida passed away on May 29, 2008 in Schertz, Texas at the age of 63. Born in Yoakum, Texas on July 27, 1944 Paul, Paul was the loving son of Juan Partida and Victoria Contreras. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Air Force in 1963 serving his country for 21 years in the Aircraft Maintenance Division until he retired in 1984 as an SSgt. During which time he was a Technician in the 96th Field Maintenance Squadrons Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) laboratory. All of us can still hear Paul saying, I was a crack inspector . He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and a Civil Service Employee until Kelly Air Force Base closed. Paul then joined the Custodian Staff at Judson High School Senior Campus until his death. Preceding him in death are his parents and three sisters; Teresa Munos, Celestina Coronado and Rita Orosco. Paul leaves behind a wonderful wife that he met in the seventh grade and married on May 13, 1967, Maria E. Delgado. They shared 41 years together. Also surviving him are his children: John Paul Partida of Universal City, Texas and Sandra and husband Shaun Farrington of Washington, Iowa. Grandchildren: Jason Hoyle and Sophie Marie Farrington. Brothers: Daniel, John and Jimmy Partida. Sisters: Elena Lopez, Ramona Garcia, and Dominga Vasquez. Brother-in-law, Joe Delgado, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 5pm-9pm on Monday, June 2nd, 2008 at the Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, Texas with a Rosary at 7pm. In lieu of flowers the family wishes contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Schertz, Texas. Burial will immediately follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
