Patricia Ann Stanuga, 79 years young, residing in San Antonio, TX went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday December 8, 2019 at 11:21 am. Patricia was born on December 22, 1939 in Indiana. Daughter of Anna Lewis and Delmar Absher.
Patricia married Larry Stanuga on November 16, 1968. They resided in a few places around the world until finally settling down in San Antonio, TX. In 2000 they moved to Schertz, TX, where they lived for almost 20 years until 2019.
In recent years, she was actively volunteering at Schertz Elementary in the CIS program, and the Schertz Police Department Alumni Group. She enjoyed working with children for as long as we can remember. Patricia managed a church daycare for many years, and after that she always volunteered to do anything with her grandkids. She was a family woman, a cancer survivor, a comedian, a poet, and the most amazing sister, wife, mother, and grandmother anyone could ask for.
Patty is survived by her husband of 51 years, Larry; a daughter and son, MJ and Scott and 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Dakota, Quentine, Damian, Brodie, and Lars; two sisters, Jean Absher Duqette, and Diana Absher Bogart, and their families.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, TX on December 19, 2019 at 7pm. Family and friends are welcome to start coming in at 6pm.
