Ollie Mae Lucas Taylor Pierce was born November 29, 1925 and passed away on March 24, 2012. Ollie is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ellen Beaubouef Lucas and father, Joseph Hezikiah Lucas, brothers; Ellis and Calvin Lucas; sisters; Kitty Moses, Nula Reed, Linnie Lucas and Idell Lucas. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Lyle L. Pierce, sons; Robert J. Taylor and wife, Valerie A. Dalton of Ballwin, Missouri; Max L. Taylor and wife, Debbie of Spring, Texas; Roger L. Pierce of San Antonio, Texas; daughters; Catherine L. Brown and husband, Willie of Aurora, Colorado; Barbara E. Hoffmann and husband, Charles of Temple, Texas; grandchildren; Matthew Taylor, Nathan Taylor, James Taylor, Mark Taylor, Eric Dalton-Taylor and Amanda Bynum; great-grandchildren; Taivion Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel at 6:30pm to 8:30PM. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, 10:00AM at Universal City United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at 3:00PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Randolph Area Christian Assistance Program (RACAP), 307 Pfeil St., Schertz, TX 78154 or Scott and White Hospice, 2401 S. 31st Street, Temple, TX 76508.
