Obdulio Ramirez

SSgt Obdulio "John" M. Ramirez, United States Air Force (Ret.) born on December 4, 1929, passed away on January 8, 2015, at the age of 85. John worked at the commissary for many years after retirement where he made numerous friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather, a true family man. His wife of 45 years, Nancy, his parents, Ciprian and Marina, and his brother, Eugene, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 6 years, Myong "Lee" Ramirez; children, Karlene Parker and her husband, Gary, Mark Mira, Jeanette LaCombe and her husband, Joseph, Nanette Franco and her husband, Aurelio, Heidi Cary and her husband, Scott, Nancy Hughes and her husband, Bill, and Alicia Schriber and her husband, Richard; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Jose M. Mendez; sisters, Lidia Edelman, Josefina Mendez, and Juanita Diaz. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 12, 2015, from 4:00PM-8:00PM, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at 10:00AM, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1065 East Live Oak Road, Schertz, TX 78154. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery with United States Air Force Honors.
