Norman Housley

July 10, 1930 — May 7, 2014

MSgt Norman L. Housley USAF (Ret.) 83, of Seguin, Texas passed away on May 7, 2014. He was born in Genoa, Wisconsin, July 10, 1930 to parents, Laurel and William Housley. Norm joined the Air Force in 1950. After serving tours of duty in several areas, including Alaska and the Azores, he retired at Randolph AFB in 1971. He started and maintained a successful real estate business (Housley's Home Management) in Universal City and Schertz area for 30 years. After selling the business to Randolph Field Realty, Norm retired to his ranch near Seguin where he loved working the farm and taking care of his herd of cattle. Coaching was a great passion of his with his sons in Little League, Pop Warner and Intramural Basketball. Norm is survived by his wife, Trudy, of 61 years, 3 sons, Kurt and wife, Lorrie; Norm, Jr. and Patty and Steve and wife, Shelly; 7 grandchildren, Rick, Matt, Jacquie, Randy, Krystle, Stephanie and Rachel and also 6 great-grandchildren. Norm was 1 of 10 children and leaves 2 brothers, Jim of California and Ed of Colorado and 2 sisters, Helen and Nola of Illinois. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Schertz Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in Norm's Memory.
