Neomia Smith

February 17, 1922 — January 15, 2015

Neomia "Nana" Smith, born on February 17, 1922 in Sealy, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2015 at the age of 92. Neomia found joy in working, she delivered the newspaper route in Hondo, Texas for the San Antonio Light before coming to work as a Bakery manager for H.E.B in San Antonio for several years. On her time off, Neomia (Nana to many) enjoyed spending time with her family, whether she was cooking meals, playing a game of dominoes or simply talking to them on the phone, Neomia's family was her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Minnie Loescher; husband, Grady Smith; daughter, Sandra Delgado; son, Grady Ross Smith; grandson, Kevin Delgado; brother, Frank Loescher. Nana is survived by her daughter, Linda Smith; granddaughter, Shelley Delgado; great-granddaughter, Cassie Brewer; her son-in law Robert Delgado and daughter in-law Judy Smith. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Schertz Funeral Home at 1:00PM. All services will conclude in the chapel.
