Neil Rex Bornmann, born on October 7, 1965 in Boulder, Colorado, began his new life with the Lord in Heaven on June 23, 2014, at the age of 48, after fighting a 2-year battle with a rare form of angiosarcoma cancer. At the age of 16 he started helping his dad make cabinets out of his garage in Schertz, Texas. He had a gift for making beautiful quality work and eventually managed what is now CFTI. Neil cared deeply about his employees and their families. His love for Jesus Christ and His teachings was monumental. He enjoyed BBQ, family gatherings, NASCAR, camping, golfing, riding motorcycles, and playing with his 3 dogs. Neil was a great husband, father, son, brother, and boss and will be missed and remembered dearly by all who knew him. His father, Rex Neil Bornmann, preceded him in death. Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Sandra; sons, Kenny and Matthew; mother, Diane; sisters, Shelly Nicely and her husband, Chris, and Debra Cameron and her husband, Bob; nieces and nephews, Brian, Kyle, Madison, Baylie, and Gavin. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, from 4:00PM-8:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 10:00AM, at Schertz Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens.
