Nancy Kerkering

Nancy Kerkering , 76, beloved Mother and Nana, passed away on February 23, 2018. She was born on November 6, 1941 in Junction City, AR, to Lloyd and Louise Pilgreen .

She spent the majority of her life in Texas raising her beloved daughters while working as one of the best secretaries Randolph Air Force Base will ever know.

She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her daughters Kim (Dave) Boone; Carey (Stew) Newton; her brother, James Pilgreen ; and her grandchildren Emily, Sean and Rachel.

She was a loving, funny and generous soul who touched many lives and who will be dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 1st , from 6-9PM at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2nd at 10AM at Schertz Funeral Home, with graveside service to immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, the ASPCA , or a local VFW of your choice.
