Nancy Giesalhart

June 25, 1951 — May 2, 2014

Nancy lost her courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer today. Nancy was born in Panama. She was a successful Medical Marketing Executive in the Texas Hill Country for home health and had recently retired. Her knowledge in the field was well known through out the Hill Country and she was always educating and assisting her clients in navigating the medical insurance and community service puzzle. Her compassion and service for the elderly was appreciated and highly recognized. She loved spending time with her children and family. She enjoyed traveling, making things grow in her garden and always helping others. She possessed a keen designer's eye. She is preceded in death by her Parents Fletcher and Eva Bell Gray, Husband Alton Giesalhart. In-laws Dan and Doris Giesalhart. She is survived by her daughters Tammy McClay and husband Robert, Kim Martinez and husband Mike, son Alton Wayne Giesalhart Jr., grandchildren Robert McClay lll, Matthew Wayne McClay, Andrew Michael Martinez, Kara Lauren Grace Martinez, Megan Elizabeth McClay, Sage Austin Giesalhart and Hunter Alton Giesalhart, brothers Fletcher Gray and Jerry Gray. Life partner Lloyd Joppie and multiple extended family and friends. The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice for their care and support. Family will receive visitors from Monday, May 5, 2014 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Schertz Funeral Home. Service will be held Tuesday May 6 at 11 at the Schertz Funeral Home with burial following at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
